the Battles of Tali and Ihantala begin in 1944. After Finland pleads for peace with the Soviet Union, they are offered only unconditional surrender. Following the rejection of this demand the Soviet Union attempts to conquer Finland. The battles of Tali and Ihantala are decisive Finish victories which secure Finland independence.
