Wiley Post completes first solo flight around the world in 1933.
Pablo Escobar simply walks out of his prison La Catedral in 1992.

John Dillinger joins the Navy in 1923 to avoid jail for assault. He goes AWOL within a few months and is eventually dishonorably discharged. His later bank robbing crime spree results in him being named public enemy number one. His crime career ends on this day in 1934 as he is gunned down by federal agents after exiting a theater playing a gangster movie.
